A fledgeling organization becomes a powerhouse

When ICG began working with the Somali Bantu Association of America (SBAOA), it was a volunteer organization that brought in less than $20,000 per year from fundraising. Through a strategic mix of capacity building, proposal development, and fundraising support from the ICG team, today the SBAOA brings in over $1 million per year with 10 employees that provide essential supportive services to between 8,000 and 10,000 refugees annually. As well, ICG provides ongoing support to help them plan and expand their monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes so that they can adequately communicate their impact to funders and donors.
